The Grove, a new mixed use, master planned community is coming to Burnaby Brentwood. The homes on this 8.5 acre site will be built in four phases at the corner of Willingdon and Dawson. Five concrete condo highrises will be built on this site, together with two woodframe midrise rental buildings, plus commercial retail spaces and restaurants.
This development will surround an acre of parkland. The location of these homes is excellent, just a few minutes walk to Brentwood Town Centre and the Skytrain Station. This large, multi phase development is coming soon.
The first phase consists of two residential condominium towers of 34 and 41 storeys, above two-storey commercial podiums fronting onto Dawson Street, between Willingdon Ave. and Alpha in the Brentwood Town Centre area. In total, the market condominium towers will contain 868 strata units — 52 per cent of which will be studio units.
Amenities for residents of The Grove will include a gym, yoga studio and accessible guest suite on level two; and on level three a lounge, music room, teen lounge, games room and mud room are located inside and dog run, garden plots and adventure play area are located outside on the podium rooftop. Common amenity facilities for the non-market development includes a lobby and mail room on level and lounge on level two connected to a large outdoor amenity deck with a kids play area, outdoor seating and dining areas.
Parking and Storage at The Grove
The development proposal intends to provide 1.1 vehicle spaces per condominium, 0.6 space per rental apartment, and 0.1 space for visitors. All residential vehicle stalls will have a Level 2 EV charging outlet. At least one residential loading space is to be provided for every 200 units and a number of commercial loading bays that are yet to be determined.
One vehicle parking space per 495.16 sq ft is to be devoted to retail and office uses. An on-site car share is being contemplated, with 1 car and stall supplied per every 100 residential units. Finally, two secure bicycle storage spaces will be available for each unit.
